SNRM2 project: Annual conference on project implementation in 2022 and direction to develop the plan in 2023

GLX On 8th December 2022, at Thang Loi Hotel, 200 Yen Phu Street, Tay Ho District, Hanoi City, the Project on Enhancing Sustainable Natural Resource Management (SNRM2) held an annual conference on project implementation in 2022 and direction to develop the plan in 2023.

Mr. Pham Vu Thang - Deputy Director of the Central Project Management Unit introduced participant of the Conference

Mr. Vu Van Hung - Deputy General Director of the Management Board for Forestry Projects, SNRM2 Project Director
delivered the opening speech at the Conference

Mr. Baku Takahashi - Chief Technical Advisor of the SNRM2 Project,
presented the direction of developing and implementing the plan 2023.

Mr. Pham Vu Thang - Deputy Director of SNRM2 Project
presented the annual project implementation report in 2022

Ms. Mai Thi Hoan - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Tuyen Quang province,
Director of the SNRM2 Project Management Unit of Tuyen Quang province agreed with the reports presented in the conference.

Mr. Doan Manh Hang- Deputy Director of SNRM2 Project in Hoa Binh province
reported the project implementation status in the province as well as difficulties
that the Provincial Project Management Unit is facing.

Mr. Lo The Thi - Deputy Director of Son La Forest Protection Department,
Coordinator of SNRM2 Project Management Unit in Son La province presented proposals
within the framework of project implementation in the province on expanding models of growing Ganoderma lucidum,
medicinal plants ... to create sustainable output as well as develop livelihoods for people in the province

Mr. Vu Hong Diep - Deputy Director of the Lao Cai Provincial Forest Protection Department,
Deputy Director of the SNRM2 Project Management Board in Lao Cai province, spoke about the difficulties faced
by forest rangers in the province and proposed a plan to support support equipment for monitoring forest developments in Lao Cai province for forest rangers

Mr. To Van Thao - Official of Financial Planning Department, General Department of Forestry,
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development spoke at the Conference

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dung - Deputy Director of the Department of Nature Conservation and Biodiversity,
Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment spoke at the Conference

Mr. Namura Takahashi - Leader of the expert group on sustainable forest management, JAFTA spoke at the conference

Mr. Vu Van Hung - Director of the Central Project Management Unit
