This morning (March 17), within the framework of the Saving Threaten Wildlife Project (STW) sponsored by USAID, the Management Board for Forestry Projects (MBFP) - Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, National Institute of Medicinal Materials (NIMM) - The Ministry of Health and TRAFFIC opened the exhibition "Vietnamese medicinal resources - Join hands to conserve Endangered Wildlife" in Hanoi
Within the framework of cooperation between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Japan in the field of forestry, the technical assistance project on "Enhancing Sustainable Natural Resource Management" is funded by the Government of Japan and implemented in Hoa Binh, Son La, Tuyen Quang and Lao Cai provinces. On March 15, 2023, the second meeting of the Project Steering Committee was held in Hanoi with the agreement of leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD)

On the afternoon of March 12, Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development - Mr. Le Minh Hoan visited the exhibition booth of the Saving Threaten Wildlife Project (STW) in Buon Ma Thuot city.
Within the framework of the 8th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2023, the Saving Threaten Wildlife Project (STW) has coordinated with the Dak Lak Fatherland Front Committee to organize propaganda and raise awareness to the community about wildlife protection, launching the program "Buon Ma Thuot City says NO to illegal wildlife products"
In order to support forest owners to access Drone technology, from February 28 to March 2, 2023, the VFBC Project in collaboration with FFI, VFBC Project Management Unit in Quang Binh province implemented a “training course on using image-compositing software from drone images to monitor forests for technical staff of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh Province" supported by VFBC Project.
In response to the World Wildlife Day (March 3), on the morning of 5th March, the "Running to conserve wildlife" was held at Bach Ma National Park, Thua Thien Hue province.
On the afternoon of March 3, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Saving Threaten Wildlife (STW) Project in collaboration with the Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry - Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI-HCM) held a conference to strengthen social responsibility and fight against illegal wildlife trade, towards sustainable development.
On 23th February 2023, at the Management Board for Forestry Projects, a group of national and international experts from the USAID Learns Project shared research results and proposed solutions to mitigate climate change in the Mekong Delta in the framework of preparation of the Climate Change Adaptation Project that USAID has committed to sponsor for Vietnam since June 2022.
From 20-25th February 2023, in Quang Binh, the VFBC Project cooperated with FFI Organization, the VFBC Project Management Board of Quang Binh province to conduct a training course on " Improving knowledge and skills in handling situations related to forest and wildlife encroachment” for members of interdisciplinary team supported by the VFBC Project.
In the morning of 21st February 2023, a meeting was held at the Management Board for Forestry Projects to discuss on development of proposals for the Japanese Embassy's non-project sponsorship program in the forestry sector.
In response to World Wildlife Day on 3rd March 2023, from 17-19th February 2023 at Tu Tuong Park, Le Loi Street, Hue City, the Project on Sustainable Forest Management and Biodiversity Conservation in Vietnam (VFBC) in collaboration with Thua Thien Hue Forest Protection Department, WWF Office organized a community communication campaign with the message “Wild meat next to the mouth, the danger is waiting” with the goal of raising public awareness of potential risks to wildlife meat consumption through experiential activities, interacting with live images to attract and provide information about the risks associated with wildlife, thereby reducing and ending the consumption of wild animal meat and wildlife products.
On the afternoon of February 13, three Vietnamese organizations received species conservation fund of the Project on Sustainable Forest Management and Biodiversity Conservation in Vietnam (VFBC) sponsored by USAID.
From 4-7 January 2023 in Sapa town - Lao Cai province and 6-11 February 2023 in Hoi An city - Quang Nam province, the Sustainable Forest Management Component - VFBC Project organized 02 training courses on "Asset Based Community Development (ABCD)" in resource management and sustainable forest development.
From 8-9 February 2023 in Ninh Binh province, the Biodiversity Conservation Component (VFBC Project) organized a capacity building training course for forest rangers and staff of Cuc Phuong National Park, Ninh Binh province about using Wildlife Insights software in managing biodiversity survey data by image traps.
On the afternoon of February 15, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper, the Management Board for Forestry Projects (MARD) coordinated with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), TRAFFIC International and Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper held a signing ceremony for cooperation in implementing activities of the STW project.
Implementing the 2023 plan, from 8-9 February 2023 in Xuan Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, the Project on Sustainable Forest Management and Biodiversity Conservation in Vietnam (VFBC) in collaboration with Quang Binh Forest Protection Department organized a training course on communication skills on forest and wildlife protection for the community communication groups.
Da Nang, February 14, 2023 - The Saving Threaten Wildlife Project, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by WWF, spoke with relevant agencies on tools and technologies to combat illegal wildlife trade, by improving the ability to detect and prevent this type of crime at seaports. The workshop with theme on "Strengthening control, detection, investigation and handling of illegal wildlife trade through seaports" was jointly organized by the Management Board for Forestry Projects (MBFP-Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development). Representatives from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the US Department of State, USAID, customs, port authorities of Ho Chi Minh city, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Quy Nhon and TRAFFIC attended this activity.
On 10th February 2023, the Management Unit of the Project on Sustainable Forest Management and Biodiversity Conservation in Vietnam (VFBC) in Thua Thien Hue province in collaboration with the Department of Tourism of Thua Thien Hue province, Nam Dong District People's Committee, Vietnam Helvetas and the Vietnam Community Tourism Association organized a seminar to exchange experiences on community tourism and connect community tourism in Thua Thien Hue province.
On the afternoon of 7th February, in Kim Son district (Ninh Binh province), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development held a kick-off ceremony of afforestation within the framework of the Rehabilitation and Sustainable Management of Mangrove Forests in the Red river Delta.
