National consultation workshop “On the environmental and social risks associated with the implementation of the results-based REDD+ payments pilot program funded by the Green Climate Fund”
GLX With the consent of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the SNRM2 Project coordinated with the General Department of Forestry to organize a national consultation workshop on piloting REDD+ payments funded by the Green Climate Fund, at the La Thanh Hotel - Hanoi on 14th June 2022
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - Deputy Manager of the Targeted Program for Sustainable Forestry Development and REDD+, General Department of Forestry introduced the delegates and stated the reason for organizing the Workshop.
Mr. Pham Van Dien - Deputy Director of General Department of Forestry delivered the opening speech of the Workshop
Mr. Baku Takahashi - Chief Technical Advisor of the SNRM2 Project presented the National roadmap on developing a payment proposal based on the results of Green Climate Fund (GCF).
Mr. Ngo Huy Toan - SNRM2 Project Consultant presented the programs and activities expected to be funded by GCF through the REDD+ Pilot Program based on Results, Component and Activity.
The workshop turned to general discussion, led by Mr. Pham Van Dien and Mr. Hiroki Miyazono.

Mr. Pham Xuan Thinh - Deputy Director of Financial and Planning Department, General Department of Forestry spoke at the workshop
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh - Representative of Forest Protection Department spoke at the workshop
Mr. Le Minh Thuy - Director of the Forest Protection Department, Deputy Director of the SNRM2 Project Management Unit in Hoa Binh province spoke at the workshop
Mr. Hiroki Miyazono - Senior Advisor of JICA Tokyo Japan delivered his closing remarks at the workshop.
Mr. Pham Van Dien - Deputy Director General, General Department of Forestry delivered a speech summarizing the opinions and declaring the end of workshop's presentation.
