Enterprises play an important role in preventing and combating wildlife trade
GLX On the morning of May 24, in Buon Ma Thuot city (Dak Lak province), the Endangered Wildlife Project sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry – The branch in Ho Chi Minh City (VCCI-HCM), the Forest Protection Department and the Business Association of Dak Lak province cooperated to organize a Seminar on Business community accompanying the prevention and control of illegal wildlife trade
The seminar had the participation of leaders of large-scale enterprises in the fields of tourism, finance and banking, transportation, logistics, e-commerce, import-export trade, traditional medicine... and related units.
According to Mr. Do Quang Tung, illegal wildlife trade is not only an environmental crisis, but also an alarming increase in organized crime, causing economic disruption...
Mr. Nguyen Huu Nam emphasized that the business community and entrepreneurs have an important role in preventing illegal hunting, trading and consumption of wild animals.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung - Director of the Forest Protection Department of Dak Lak province spoke at the event.
Business representatives signed on to join the Business Partnership Group advocating against wildlife trade.
