Launching a set of media images to reduce demand for illegal wildlife consumption

GLX In an effort to reduce the demand for illegal wildlife products in Vietnam, the Saving Threatened Wildlife Project (STW) recently introduced a set of creative messages and images towards changing consumer behavior.


Creative images of the project are expressed in sand paintings.

Ms. Bui Thuy Nga, Senior Program Manager, TRAFFIC Vietnam spoke at the press conference launching the media image set.


Artist Xuan Bac, Director of Vietnam Drama Theater accompanies the Project.


Ms. Michelle Owen, Director of the STW Project Office, shared at the press conference.


Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Van Phuc said that the Central Propaganda Department will support the dissemination of the Project's messages.

The Saving Threatened Wildlife Project is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and is owned by the Management Board for Forestry Projects - Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MBFP), in collaboration with implementation of WWF, TRAFFIC and ENV. The project objective is to strengthen commitment and support of leaders at all levels and sectors from central to local levels; mobilize support from the private sector to reduce demand and illegal consumption of wildlife products.
