GLX From November 30, 2022 to December 1, 2022, the Central Management Unit and Consultant Office of SNRM2 project organized a delegation to work with the SNRM2 Project Management Unit of Lao Cai province and Vinh Yen Cooperative, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province.

of organic cinnamon development, sustainable cinnamon development of Lao Cai province (in the period of 2023-2025)

Mr. Hoang Van Phuong - Deputy Director of Vinh Yen Agriculture and Service Cooperative, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province
presented the current situation of cinnamon exploitation and processing in the commune, difficulties that local people face
when collecting cinnamon materials,buying machines to process cinnamon.

Mr. Baku Takahashi - Chief Technical Advisor of the SNRM2 Project introduced to the
delegates the organic cinnamon certification model, the steps to implement the organic certification in each stage,
advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, as well as challenges of organic cinnamon production

The delegation worked with the People's Committee of Vinh Yen commune before visiting
the field of cinnamon growing and setting up a cinnamon oil factory in Vinh Yen commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province.
